Sarah Schreffler, violin

Sarah Schreffler has an extensive background as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She is a founding member of the Burn City String Quartet and its sibling ensemble Broke Fiddles, and with both ensembles enjoys exploring the depth of the string chamber repertoire. She performs as an ensemble member and soloist with Cactus Chamber Musicians, who serve the Phoenix area with multifaceted, imaginative programs. As a chamber musician, Dr. Schreffler also performs with the Oracle Piano Quartet and was a longtime guest artist with the South Beach Chamber Ensemble. Previously, Dr. Schreffler served as concertmaster of MusicaNova Orchestra, and has performed with the Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Arizona Opera, Phoenix Opera, and the AZ Musicfest Orchestra. Chamber music studies and collaborations have included close work with and performances alongside members of the Cleveland, St. Lawrence, and Orion string quartets.

Dr. Schreffler currently serves on the faculties of Phoenix College and Brophy College Preparatory, and is a guest clinician with arts and educational organizations around the state. She holds performance degrees from The Cleveland Institute of Music and Arizona State University, and is currently pursuing certification to teach Dalcroze Eurhythmics from the Dalcroze School of Music and Movement.
